This is something I originally stole from Robben Ford, but later learned he stole it from BB King (who probably stole it from Lonnie Johnson, but I can’t back that up).
It’s a simple little trick that you do to just one of the notes in your boxes and it completely changes the sound and adds a ton of hipness.
