Dai. In this video, I can’t see your fingers touching the strings. The video shows your ring, fingers, and finger joints. Please adjust the video angle to match the shot ends (fingernails) of your finger pressing strings. Showing the ends of your fingers pressing strings should help me remember. Thanks a lot.
Griff, you really nailed this one on the head! I played drums and bass in church for 23 years. My guitar teacher when I was about 12 taught me virtually all of CCR songs since they typically only used the 3 chord progression. Then came the Eagles who added a 4th chord and I could handle them in the open position. When barre chords came along I panicked and basically gave up, at least for many years. Now at 67 I’d like to learn lead.
I love everything you’ve posted but at least one day a week can we get a beginning-pickers lesson? Like the old McDonald’s commercials said: “We deserve a break today” so come on! Give us at least one lesson out of the 5-7 you post each week.
I hope to see you in north Texas next year. I’ll make it a bike trip just for fun. Thanks for being there for us. I know we all benefit from your teaching and go Trojans!

I have just started my Beginning Blues Guitar lessons. It’s been 50 years since I played along with my BB King album but I never learned the basics and never advanced. You have inspired me and now I have added “Playing a blues gig” to my bucket list.
