I often get requests for more “major blues” licks, and this is a good one from Clapton’s performance of “Crossroads,” with Cream…
In particular, this shows using the somewhat standard Box 2 pattern for the scale, but also adds in a note from the minor blues scale, which happens a lot as well.

Yes Clapton made his mark in musical history but when people start talking about him, it sucks all of the oxygen out of the room as though he is the end all performer

I’ve been working on Crossroads here and there ever since I started playing again after a 40 plus year layoff. A little over a year ago my wife had my good friend Dean Zelinsky make me a custom guitar. I’m really inspired to play again.
