Most guitar players I see feel like they need to go all over the fretboard to be good…
But BB King knew that the secret to sounding amazing wasn’t in how much fretboard real estate you could cover…
It was in how well you could outline the chords and create melodies in the one area of the guitar that it “speaks” the best.
BB King knew things most of us today have forgotten, and we’d all be wise to go back to his playing as the model of how it should be done.

I learned more from BB’s licks than I did from most of the others. He takes lil bits and does a lot
That was nice , Duane Allman used this in similar fashion, yes it not as simple as everyone thinks
