The folks over at Guitar World have released their 2010 edition of Blues Lead Guitar in a free, digital format.

In particular, I like the Robben Ford lessons and the discussion of SRV’s gear 🙂
Enjoy!

What’s the best technique to copyright a website and all its contents? Copyright poetry?
it’s so good, seeing and reading about these people and having them tell how they do their magic. Thanks, Griff, for making this available… or at least bringing it to our attention.
Now, as bil says below: “now back to BGU!!!”
thanks for sharing this great issue Griff!

Sweet, thanks for the link!
Geart Stuff!

Hi Griff,
Not sure if this gets to you but I will try anyway. I bought Blues Guitar Unleashed and without doubt it is the best blues guitar instruction package out there. I have bought a few which have mainly been disappointing.
I just want to say “thank you” for the hours of fun (and hard work and sore fingers) that this has given me. I never thought I would be able to play (not perfectly yet) anything like Lesson 20 Blues in B minor – and I have a long way to go through the lessons so I have months of pleasure ahead.
Your instruction is clear, the demonstrations are easy to follow and the combination of music, tab, demo and audio helps you with technique and reading the dots all at the same time! Brilliant. It is rare that you buy something so well done and value for money – so congratulations! I use a package called Jam Vox which also allows you to load the audio material and slow it down without losing pitch and to loop the bars! Invaluable in learning quickly.
Thank you again. Your hard work was worth it.
All the best,
Andrew
Hey Griff,
Thanks for sharing the Guitar Player nxtbook… lots of cool stuff to work on. I like it…especially the Clapton article and examples.

Hi Griff, Thanks for the info. Could you elaborate on the lesson by Robben Ford and possibly give us a video? This is a cool lick with Van Morrison and he is one of my favorites.
