Color this one for the beginners among us. First and foremost, it’s vital that you understand the blues feel and how it is a triplet based clock going on under almost everything you will ever play.

Most “normal” music is in a “straight” feel, meaning the beat is divided into 2 pieces. So, in order to play the blues well, you really have to a handle on what makes the shuffle feel the way it does.

If this is where you’re at right now, you might want to consider my Beginning Blues Guitar course to get these feels down and start learning the blues the right way 🙂

In and around the year 2000 or earlier, I wanted to learn to play guitar. I looked at several good artists and ran across Griff and liked him best out of all. So I started watching him regularly without participating. Once I decided he was the best teacher, and kept watching him through penatonics, counting, boxess etc. I found my self years down the road still watching him and still not participating physically until now only to find myself overwhelmed, confussed, and feeling like I will never be able to do all that. I am up in age and don’t have another thirty years to learn everything. I know there’s no quick road. I may not still have the very first course from him to start with. Soo…Where do I start participating and what’s my path? Over whelmed in Fla.

I hated counting, but you got me doing it all the time now. I couldn’t believe how much it helped!
