This is a lick I took from my 5 “Easy” Hard Rock Solo course (out of solo #1, in fact)…
It’s in the key of F#minor, using mostly just the F# minor pentatonic/blues “box 1” pattern.
Of course, as usual, what makes it work is the rhythmic dynamics, so pay attention to the count, and for the fast lick at the end make sure you keep counting, go slow, and do the slurs (the pull-offs and hammer-ons!)

Just really cool licks! Am practising….Great stuff, love this!
Green mother-of-pearl??? What?
Personally, I don’t need to count it. Different strokes for different folks.
Not everyone has to, but in my experience a very large majority will have to. If your ear is already good with it, that’s one huge step you won’t have to work on!
Very impressed. You are a smooth, easy to follow, teacher. Thanks for giving.

Great Lick Griff, again attempting to confront my nemesis of counting after nearly 55 yrs of playing never got to grips with counting & that’s despite using rhythm figures amongst a multitude BGU course but I’ll persevere with this one. I just lose coordination between counting and fretting, but love heavy rock thanks Griff
