Boscoe France took home the title of Guitar Center King of the Blues 2012.

The Guitar Center King of the Blues 2012 winner was announced recently and I figured I would go check out who won the competition.  Congratulations to the 2012 winner, Boscoe France.  Guitar Center posted the final performance from Boscoe on YouTube so I thought I would share it with you.  The performance includes a tune on his electric, a solo acoustic guitar performance, and he uses traditional playing styles and some slide playing.  Gotta give him a thumbs up for versatility.  I thought you might enjoy seeing the winner as I did!

Boscoe France took the whole kit and caboodle this year at the Guitar Center King of the Blues 2012 competition.  The winner was announced in the last couple days and the final performance video was posted by Guitar Center TV at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8rYCsZY9aKM.

It’s arduous to find educated individuals on this topic, but you sound like you know what you’re speaking about! Thanks

      Well Griff,

Now your’e talking. After seeing the Kenny Wayne Shepard clip I had to wonder where your’ coming from…..because I like what you do with the guitar yourself. This guy, on the other hand encapsulates so much of the history of fine guitar playing and references many great styles and players. He’s of course brilliant…but also paying his dues to the wealth of stuff that’s gone before under the banner of the blues. I’m sold…. a fan…bloody brilliant as we’d say in Australia. More of that !!!

TBH I thought he was what we brits call a Flash Harry. Too much Maria Carey and not enough Aretha Franklin if you know what I mean.
