Today’s video should be fun while also super beneficial to you…
We’re going to take some small “moves” and play them repeatedly until you can actually play them. This is what real practicing should look like 😉
Then, we’ll expand on it, and by the end you’ll not only have a cool lick under your fingers, but hopefully some additional technical ability. This sort of thing is how technique is built, as well as lick vocabulary (and you can check out Blues Speed Building Blocks for more about how that works.)

Great Lesson, Griff! Appreciate your strong emphasis on counting it is sinking in more and helping a lot – Not always easy a bit tedious but rewarding.
Great lesson and great advice. Thanks for sharing Griff, always enjoy your lessons.
Thanks Griff, good encouragement for me this morning. I haven’t played for a few months now, got elbow tendinitis. then got discouraged because I couldn’t play for about 3 months. It’s been about 3 more months since it’s healed and have had trouble getting going again, even though I love playing the blues. This has motivated me to just get back to basics and following along with you to get back in the groove. The email lessons are really appreciated, thanks.
