I don’t know if you guys are hip to the Bowlive show that Soulive and the Brooklyn Bowl put on back in 2010, but I have to say it was probably one of the best jams that comes to mind. Soulive, an instrumental fusion trio, hosted some of the best musicians in the business at a two week event featuring a slammin’ show every night. After I got through watching the DVD (which I highly recommend), I went searching for some of the tracks featuring Derek Trucks and Warren Haynes. Fortunately, people started sharing footage from the show for all of us to enjoy. My only wish is that I could have been there in person for the whole thing. I found three videos from the two week residency, featuring some all star talent doing what they love to do best. I hope you dig it all as much as I did!
The first performance that really caught my eyes and ears was when Derek Trucks and Susan Tedeschi sat in with Soulive to perform “Soul Serenade.” Check out this awesome live rendition at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aAAwDEwX9nI.

Next, Derek was featured again with singers Nigel Hall and Ledisi, on a stirring rendition of “A Change Is Gonna Come.” Check it out here at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GJthX3AZFYw.

Lastly, Soulive hosted some of the best blues talent on stage together including Derek Trucks, Warren Haynes, and Robert Randolph in this killer version of “The Sky Is Crying.” Enjoy it now at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FgESDUxATpY.

I highly recommend seeing the DVD creating from the show called “Soulive: Bowlive – Live at the Brooklyn Bowl.” It’s refreshing to see musicians on stage, from a variety of music styles, celebrating pure soulful musicianship. There’s more coming your way at Blues Guitar Unleashed, so stay tuned.
Thanks,
Griff

A CPU starts wherever. It starts with a bios and a CPU and a motherboard ect… When we code that computer to pump elsewhere a random figure, what makes it select the number it picks? Exactly the identical processor sits beside it’s equal and they equally select diverse 1st accidental statistics. Is the Bios fed a seed throughout construction and each innovative bios gets a dissimilar seed? Those of us that have worked with random statistics recognize what a seed is. So why does my computer provide a number stuck between 100 and 1000 as 756, excluding yours gives, 537? Is that not a form of intelligence past that of artificial? We gave the computer the ability to give haphazard facts, excluding what makes it furnish otherwise select that arbitrary figure when in actuality it has no ‘will’ to choose. Why 3 and not 4, when it favours nothing? Even with a seed, what makes it prefer 5 with this seed excluding 7 with that seed? Where in the ruels of life does it articulate that, with this seed equaling 756395837 in that computer, 1st chance # will live this?.
