When it comes to small music clubs, it’s hard to get any smaller than the Baked Potato in L.A.  This small place has played host to a very long list of the best talents ever seen and heard in the music industry; some before reaching fame and others once it’s already been received.  I came across a video while YouTube hunting that features a very intimate show with Joe Bonamassa and Beth Hart.  Bonamassa and Hart of been performing together on tour and it’s an intense and amazing experience to seem them on stage together.  But once all the glitz and glamour is turned off from the big shows, I Find it so cool to see the same artists in action at a local club.  While I wasn’t at the show, I’m fortunate to have found this video that features an entire performance of the very soulful blues song, “I’d Rather Go Blind.”  I hope you enjoy the video as much as I did!

Joe Bonamassa and Beth Hart played a great rendition of the soulful song, “I’d Rather Go Blind,” at a small club in Los Angeles called the Baked Potato.  Check it out at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YqaHfmJUI_Y&feature=related.

I felt this video performance should stand alone in this blog post, but there are several other videos you can see online that feature performances with Joe Bonamassa and Beth Hart.  Dig around a little bit and check them out too!

Thanks,

Griff

I have seen Joe and he is an amazing tasteful player… shows what lots and lots and lots more practice can do for anyone that wants to put all their effort into playing this wonderful instrument called a guitar. Thanks for the clip Griff and all the wonderful work you do for your students and blues in general.

I saw Etta James and John Lee Hooker in Redondo Beach about 2 weeks before John Lee died.
Etta had a way that would send shivers down your back. This is a totally solid performance. Bonamassa is great, sounded a bit like Derek Trucks in parts. I dig Black Country Communion.
