anyone wan to play around with this please feel free.

Sometimes I forget how lucky I am

Some say ordinarily blessed

Sometimes I forget how lucky I am

I worked; my metal was stressed.

Pulling down the moon that’s lighting a silver lode.

Dancing to no one’s tune, keepin’ to my code.

Sometimes I forget how lucky I am

Reaping no more than was sown,

Sometimes I forget how lucky I am

That I earnt everything that I own.

Pulling down the moon that’s lighting a silver lode.

Dancing to no one’s tune, keepin’ to my code.

Sometimes I forget how lucky I am

I didn’t bluff when fate raised the stakes

Sometimes I forget how lucky I am

Not waiting but creating the breaks.

Pulling down the moon that’s lighting a silver lode.

Dancing to no one’s tune, keepin’ to my code.

Sometimes I forget how lucky I am

I was never counting the cost

Sometimes I forget how lucky I am

And that I paid whenever I lost.

Pulling down the moon that’s lighting a silver lode.

Dancing to no one’s tune keepin’ to my code.

Sometimes I forget how lucky I am

I judged the worst and the best.

Sometimes I forget how lucky I am

I don’t care for your views on the rest.

Some good stuff there William.
Come on, you're in a guitar learning site, GO FOR IT!
Making your own music can be very satisfying.
You can do it.

Dude, that is a very cool set of lyrics!!

just figure out a basic blues (since yer on a blues guitar site) for it to sit on, and do spoken word, focusing on rhythmic patterns in your voice. Add some guitar response, a solo if you're feeling it, and worry about the melody of the vocals later, or not at all. Spoken word is pretty cool.

Hey, thanks for that advice Zzzen. I had not thought about that kind of approach so much appreciated. I'll definitely give that a go.

Ah, brought up in the North West of England, the home of some famous blues legends such as Whistlin' Willie Ramsbottom. He had a lot of problems as a child that lad....
The cotton mills, dark and satanic, were a rich source of inspiration to him.
