Mr. Bites Off More Than I Can Chew

I've been playing with that tune on and off since the challenge workshop. I really want to record the whole thing start to finish kinda as a cover. I have a pretty lengthy theory background from other instruments I've learned, so counting is something I've been used to but certainly not an expert at by any means. My problem is/was, I resisted applying it to guitar, and still do at times. For whatever reason I find myself trying to learn more from feel rather than timing. (Don't say it...).
Soooo.... my objective (because of the UCW) is to count the the rhythm of the song out loud while trying to play it. Since it's a slow blues and mostly swing eighth notes, I think I can do it. The solos are for another time
Your thoughts?
PS, On another note, the only way I learned the solo from the Sunshine Of Your Love workshop was by counting it, very slowly until it sounded right. It took me less than a week to play it in time.
