Interesting visualization.
Looks like we need to pick a different genre if we want to make it to the top.

Clapton made the list and then fell away.

Is that in $$ or number of copies sold?
Either way, I thought that the excuse for artists charging a fortune for concerts was that they no longer made any money in record sales.

And I thought the disco years were bad. The 2000's are a vast wasteland.

The Swifties invaded Chicago this past weekend.
Some real bargains where had

Highest price: $100,000 for section 112 row 12
Lowest price: $594 for section 428 row 30
The mind boggles.
Just for shits and giggles, I looked up the ticket prices for my son's upcoming U.S. tour. I can't quite put him in the same draw category as Ms. Swift. Being a comedian, his price of admission is much lower. I checked two venues (20 Monroe in Grand Rapids MI in September and Boston House of Blues in October). Tickets range from a low of $30 to $130. Surprisingly, the more expensive seats are almost gone. Tickets only went on sale this past Friday morning for all venues.
