Well done Griff and company!

Not so much a question as a comment (I didn't see another section of the forum to put this in). I bought several of Griff's courses over the years and the only way they used to be released years ago was in print and DVD format. I wanted to say it is great that you made these courses available in the "online version" to long time students! All modern Macs lack internal DVD drives so the ability to call up a course online and either download it or stream it is really important to those of us who use computers without DVD drives.

In addition to the movies, Griff and company have made the printed materials available online as PDFs as well. This might not seem such a big deal but I am going through the Soloing Without Scales course and almost all of the solos have page turns in them because they are at least 4 pages long. In the old days I had to get out a scanner and scan in the pages so I could print them to lay them out flat on the music stand. With the PDF online versions I can just print the pages of music out from the PDFs without the hassle of scanning them. Not only is this more convenient but the pages look better than the scans. No more scan lines, grey backgrounds and slight rotations to the pages.

Well done!

Playin' for the fun of it.
To get around the page turning what I have done is copy the pdf file, change file name to include another character i.e. 1, 2, etc then I can open 2 or 3 files at the the relevant pages. With two files open you can have four pages and position them on screen as you wish. Having a large monitor helps though. :)

I personally cannot do the online................it just bothers me, I like having the DVD and paper in my hand.

Butto be fair, I still use a day runner even though my phone can do everything

"day runner" Nope, give me a clue guys. o_O
Well.. before electronic calendars in your phone or tablet...

People used to pound reeds and semi-rotted tree pulp with rocks into big flat sheets, then they would mark on these with colored water to write things down.

The paper (that's what they called the plant & tree parts pounded out flat) would get lost or damaged, and the ink would smudge or fade.

Overall a quite barbaric way to try and record information, but that's all they had in the early Mesopotamia.. :)

I love the learning process on this forum, I now know how to make something called 'paper', I've learnt another State name in the good old US of A "Mesopotamia, I think it might be near Maine or Michigan cos I've heard of those and best of all I now know what a "day runner" is. Over on this side of the pond we'd call it a Filofax. This is an organiser that up and comming Yuppies would poses. ;)

Thanks for the knowledge guys, now this guitar thing, can you offer any help on that. :(

Attempting the Blues
One nice thing about the digital access, you can be anywhere, at a kiosk, a friends house, at work, and you can access the material and view a video or print a tab. And if you bought the "hard" DVDs and books, you stil have those.

Better off with the Blues!
I like the digital videos for practice. However, I also prefer to have the DVD's so that one day my grandkids will be looking in my attic and stumble upon a treasure that will change their lives forever. These DVD's and an old Strat up in the attic. It's a part of my history the same way people used old records (still do). There will always be a way to play these DVD's. Digital, not so much.
