Guitar position

I have been playing in the Classical position for a while. I saw where Griff says not to do this. For me i have been trying for a few days but it is like starting all over again.  Whats  yall's opinion.  Jim

Jim it is starting all over again. Having said that because you have the classical background you will quickly feel comfortable in the Blues/rock position. Hope I am helping.

I use the classical position for classical music and finger style, flamenco position for flamenco, and use a guitar strap for my electric guitars.  The strap is set so it is comfortable while sitting or standing.
