Griff, you are the BEST teacher on the internet. Thank you for all that you give to your students.
Great stuff, Griff! Hey I posted a soundclip in the VJR to try to get this going. I made up some lyrics did call and response on the first 12 bars then played a lead over the 2nd 12 bars, and asked others to do the same with the jam track. So far I have no takers. Don’t know if the link will work here or not, but here it is anyway.

link didnt work for me…thanks though.
I am a retired teacher and rookie guitar player (wanna -be ) your method of teaching is great. Thanks ,keep up the good work.
For me … (intermediate to advanced) you are the best teacher on line by far. You totally get the balance right between talk and action. Keep up the good work. Cheers Danny
Amen Danny!
Giff this is hard to put into words but you seem to be giving me bowl to put the ingredents in. Been playin scales pentatonic min and maj, strummin cords different rhythms and such for a while, but the timing part, the call and response, you are showing 2bars X 2bars is really letting me in on a new mindset. Giff U R puttin this stuff out fast, gonna take me a few nites on the side of the bed to get it straight but I sure like whay I am hearin myself play!!! Thanks can’t wait for video #3
The first video suject matter in this series was excellant and this session was much the same. Your showing us how ot soar griff.. making our own music. thanks. every musician waits for this day.

Your on a winner here Griff
Thanks a bunch Griff for the free vids. You mechanics really combine nice with feeling and is easy to follow. I am older and as a previous post said, my skills are mostly chords and working on 2 note chords is for me to learn. I look forward to what’s next!
Enjoyed very much , good fun doing this, keep them coming
Griff
I have been playing and teaching guitar for a very long time. I always say to people that I wish the resources that are available to learn today were around when I was a kid… Anyway, you are by far the best teacher that I have ever encountered and I own a couple of your courses. Thanks for all the free stuff you post and for giving so many the gift to speak the language of music.
Dave
Hey Griff that a great demonstration /as always you do a great job thanks
Top Lesson Griff, as usual.
Pleas correct me if I am wrong but if we fill for the second 2 bars of 4 in the progression we could play a Major fill all the way save maybe the turn around. Great Great theory course that you did and I have the BGU one too.
Wish you and your family all the best.
Colin
Thanks Griff…great stuff and you make it easy by the style you use to teach.
Another great lesson! I really appreciate how you are “all in” when it comes to teaching music.
It isn’t just the guitar, it is music, and how to play in a group. Priceless!
After playing “just for my own enjoyment” for years, you show mw how to play with others and have more fun.
Thanks, again.

The past two lessons are totally awesome! Your lessons and Blues Guitar Unleashed course has changed my rhythm playing so much. My band has noticed and we are sounding so much better. I’m forever in debt to you, Thank you!
Hey Griff..
I will admit I was a little slow to grasp the second video.. probably says a lot about my current level of understanding.. however having gone through it a dozen times it has all pretty much fell into place with the 2 bar call and response thing.. Playing along to my attempt at humming/ singing it almost sounds like I know what I am doing 🙂 Well cool really enjoying it.. Thanks again!
Hi Griff
Just watched video 1, great stuff. I always wanted to do that little slide rhythm, but could not figure it out and had not seen a video with it in it so I will give it a fair bit of practice then incorporate it into my playing.
Thanks a bunch,
Billy
Griff….another great lesson! I don’t know how you balance your time with the family and teaching?
But we all are the lucky blokes that benefit from your online lessons!
Have been working on your ‘5 Easy Blues Solos”…..you are the best!
What else is there to say but “TOTALLY AWESOME GRIFF”!!!!
Your wisdom about playing the guitar is endless. That really explains the blues and the little riffs that I hear. Ahah!!!! the light finally went ON . Thanks again Griff
Really great stuff Griff! This is what I needed to put the lessons in BGU together! I’m only on lesson 7, but this helps a lot! Thanks!! I do like the sound of that thumbed bass note and the plucked two note chord. I’ll need to practice that.
In your lessons I have found just the kind of help I need to make up for those 50 years of guitar playing I missed out on. Trying to learn “Apache” and “Wonderful Land” was as far as I got as a fourteen-year-old. Thank you for opening the door into the world of blues soloing from one of your many English followers.
I really enjoy your teaching videos, It helps a lot when you run into a wall and cannot figure out where to go
thanks
Hi Griff,
Great stuff. Very simply stated and very useful. Keep the material coming!
Thanks so much!
THANK-YOU for these three fantastic videos. In a matter of a few hours,I was able to play them all with the jam track and was surprised that I can even hear the chord changes now and can pick up the time even when I have made a mistake. This has been a huge confidence booster for me. I had been working diligently over our long Canadian winter and finally feel like I have taken a giant leap forward. You are the BEST online instructor and I have been a fan for a while. I have purchased your rhythm course and benefited tremendously from it. Almost time to move on to another course….perhaps Blues Guitar Unleashed.I look forward to your videos …. They are what I treat myself to after practice is complete . Thanks again.
Sir the lesson is actually cool 4 me ave been facing challenges oltru but i actually no am gonna make it with ur lesson thankz 2 dat more of the lessons Griff.

All I can say is thank you for this gift of your musician knowledge you give us all here on this site! I am an intermediate to a little above level to be honest and practicing guitar player for over 30 years and since I been following your online lessons it has been an enormous amount of help and inspiration in the improvement of my music (improvisation) skills. YOU ARE A GREAT TEACHER and you make fully learning how to use the guitar almost like child’s play. My music knowledge has really increased in the past year along and my soloing improvisation has increased drastically. I REALLY REALLY ENJOY playing the guitar more than ever than anytime in my life and know I’m for sure going to stick with it. Once again I really, along with many others, appreciate the help. THANK YOU SO MUCH MAN. YOUR THE GREATESTS!
Thank you so much Griff for more helpfull videos. You are such a great teacher and you explain things really well. I have bought a couple of your courses and they are brilliant and well worth the money. And to anyone out there (no I’m not getting paid to say this).
Hi Griff:
Loved the video Mixing Rhythm With Leads, but the download of the video (wmv format) would not work with my Internet Explorer 10. Any ideas.
Kept getting this message:
“Internet Explorer has stopped trying to restore this website. It appears that the website continues to have a problem.”
Would love to add this to my collection of your video lessons.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks and best regards,
Denny
IE 10 is older and may have trouble playing it, but should work fine to download it. It sounds like it’s trying to play it. Try right clicking the link and choose “Save Target As… ” or “Save Link As..” or whatever it says similar to that. That should do a straight download and bypass trying to play it in IE 10. You should use Windows Media Player or VLC to play it.
That was helpful.
Hey Griff Nothing like buying a brand new toy and not being able to play with it…..Just bought your new course Blues Gig In A Box. I guess it was so good folks did a melt down on your system…..can’t wait to get into it….
thanks Ken

I appreciate all the up-to-date materials and information that you forward to my email. My love for music continues to grow, even at 55. Your product and services are much appreciated. Keep it up, sir! Thank you.
Griff, thankyou so much for all the videos you have sent over recent times. Excellent material. I have purchased the BGinAB box course but unable to log in. As mentioned above no doubt due to the big take up. No hurry, I still have the initial 3 videos to work on anyway.
Your ideas and lessons are pitched right at my level intermediate to above. Right on the money.
Thanks
Jon.

Hi Griff, loved the photo. To a 72 year old Aussie looks like you have a load of young rebs in the back.
I just have to slow down the guy coming down the road with the wooden overcoat long enough to learn more of this great stuff.
All the best to you and your family.
Very informative.you tie together and advance somethings I was arriving at
I’m a drummer (45yrs) trying to make the switch to guitar and bass
I’ve played so many styles of music that everything you said about time and rhythm had me nodding my head. So far I’ve watched 3 of your lessons and all have been a growth experience
Knowing why I do what I’ve been doing is a great help.
Thank you.
Great teaching man, never seen it made so simple. Thank you for your efforts to teach this!
So glad I found your Website, Griff. You deserve all the accolades. I look forward to Video 3, and in the meantime I will practice what you preach, and also start saving for the purchase of the dvd/cd set.
You have a great Business Model.
