Working On A New Song

So,......I got this idea for a new song I'm calling "Miss You The Most".
It was gonna be bluesy but it did'nt turn out that way.
I recorded a second demo version with a more blues feel just to see if that worked.
Any comments and critiques welcome.

From melancholy to cheerful . . . it's fascinating how changing the accompaniment can make such a difference.

agreed, quite a difference, I like the first one better. The second one brings up "cowboy" to mind rather than blues for me.

I think they are pretty solid musical ideas that I do not have any feedback for you on. I think it would enhance the song if you add percussion (i.e. not necessarily drums.) to the tracks.

Your input is appreciated.
I record lots of my own songs and a few covers.
Most of the time I'm missing some sort of percussion and I know I need to work on that.

I think the first one fit the sentiment and the lyric better. It needs a hook or signature lick.

I like them both, I think one of the signs of a good tune is that it will hold up to different genres
