Why is there no SEARCH function?

Yes, after you purchase them.

No go streaming online. :(

Song Surgeon will do it online https://songsurgeon.com/engine/ssweb.php. You can download the results as an MP3, but there is a Preview option that allows you to hear the key or tempo change, so it "sort of" streams. They do offer a trial account that gives you 4 hours of access for free. I'm assuming they measure hours in terms of the song minutes that are processed, but I'm really not sure.

There is also this free tool that I found online, although I have not tried it yet: https://www.conversion-tool.com/pitch/

Another alternative is the free Positive Grid app that comes with the Spark amp. You can download the smartphone app for free and you do not need to have an amp to pair it to in order to use it. It will allow you to find a song or jam track on YouTube or Spotify and loop portions of it, alter the tempo, or use a virtual capo.

There is also a free online version of the app at https://spark.positivegrid.com/home the provides the same functionality without the app or amp connectivity. It will also analyze the song and tell you the chords as you are listening to it.

I entered "Stormy Monday" in the search box of the website version, and found my way to the Allman Brothers version at https://spark.positivegrid.com/songs/Bqa1s4jhkQ8 . To loop a portion of the song, you can just click on each 1/4 note portion of a measure that you want looped. It's very quick, easy, and visual.

We were discussing tracks within "My Courses" that you don't own, but have access to stream online as an AAP member.

Audio tracks within courses can be manipulated when streaming online?

I did not know that.

Apologies, I thought you were referring to tracks that had been downloaded.

Thanks all! Now I understand what is meant by "Paths".

I am on a MacBook Pro and use Safari cuz Chrome is an energy hog.

Maybe I confused the issue. Wouldn't be the first time.

@ChicagoNed said he doesn't want to purchase any of Griff's Jam Tracks "packages" because he only wants tracks in particular "Keys".

The suggestion is that he could buy them and once he "owns" them he can download them.

Then he could use any of the options @Elio mentioned to change the Key or tempo of any or all the tracks to anything he wants.

To add to the list, I simply import to Audacity, which allows you to change the Key, Tempo, etc.

My understanding is that in order for me to purchase tracks I have to wait to get Golden Tickets, which takes forever, I'd rather just pay for the tracks I like, in the 2 keys I gravitate to.

Maybe it's not worth it to Griff to go through the effort of commercializing his tracks because there's so much competition in that space, even free ones, so perhaps it's a dead idea. I have a collection of MP3s I converted from YT tracks and have a $30 SanDisc player hooked into a battery operated small Sony speaker which I take to isolated pastures, with an armless camping chair. Heaven. Two dogs also. But...the local cops may drop by to exercise the K9 cop which causes me problems.

Best,

Ned

Even though you have online access to everything, you can still go to the Course Catalog and purchase anything, anytime.

Then you will own it and can download it.

https://bluesguitarunleashed.com/course-catalog/

(Click "Jam Tracks" in the upper right.)

The Golden Ticket gets you a "freebie", i.e. you can own any course for no additional money beyond your subscription fee.

Then you own it and can download it.

Two ways to "own" a course. Pay for it or redeem a ticket for it.

If you cancel your AAP membership you still own that course. All the rest will disappear from your course list.

I think he's looking for the Jam tracks that are contained within the course that he's working on.

Putting all he Course Tracks into one compilation CD or even online pay per track streaming might be something @Griff might consider.
