This morning its Erja Lyytinen on tap.  If you haven't heard of her definitely give her a listen, she plays a mean guitar. I get a kick out of her accent, kinda cool. She hails from Finland and has a lot of great music out.

Listening to this a lot, because when I get it down, I get to play it with my instructors band. Not exactly blues, but it follows the 12 bar pattern for the most part. http://youtu.be/ZaeEopDW0V4
P.S.  Working on the rhythm part first.  ::)

Thank you Marv,

I have so much, and so much, been listening to this tune since it was posted. I'm listening to it right now!

It's bringing it right back down to the blues, and also back to the source... the "Old Masters" and Griff's teachings :)

Well done guys!

P.S. also been listening to another couple of GREAT tunes from the VJR  ;) I wouldn't know how to forward the links though - I'm utterly useless with technology!

I don't watch much TV, but my wife got me hooked on Breaking Bad and so I've now watched the reruns. At any rate, I watched the last episode the other night (if you haven't seen it then I won't ruin it for you) and they played the song "Baby Blue" by Badfinger at the end. I grew up listening to the band, but hadn't thought much about them since the 70's.

Apparently Peter Ham and Tom Evans of the band both committed suicide in the mid-70's, while still in their twenties in part as a result of financial mismanagement by their business manager.

Well I've been working on the song on my guitar this week and looked up this information (below) that tells the story.
