G'day
I was looking at myspace page for Washington State Blues Society http://www.myspace.com/wablues and noticed a link to the Perth Blues Club. I thought our friends in WA (or is it W.Oz?) might like to have it if they aren't already members. Cheers

Hmmm seems Internet Explorer cannot open it - maybe the internet censorship has already started in W.A.

Thanks for thinking about us., Wally
it is a good place to go, managed to organise some of my Perth trips to coincide with some of their nights.
The talent pool is great and their open mike nites are only done after you send in a recording. Even still its something to aim for one day.

Pinky the site address is correct, but not working - probably their servers down.
Thanks again.
Cheers

I could open it yesterday -- today not so good. Maybe the myspace link will work.

Its a good place some nights -around 200 or so when i was there last (for Perth on a tuesday night, that's huge!!!!).
We also have a blues festival in a small country town about  3 hours from Perth.

been going since 1993, they close the streets and party for three days.
Went last year and bumped into Matt Taylor (Older australians should know of him or his blues band Chain) and went and had a beer with him - amazing!.
He's back again this year with a number of others (I was very surprised with teh blues quality of Brodrick Smith and his harp playing - didn't see him or the Dingos in their prime (I', onl;y 45).
I'm taking my two kids this year - great family atmosphere and no trouble - camping in the Bridgetown Show Grounds. Cant wait.

If you an make it Wally, I'll buy you a beer. What the hell, I buy you a beer even if you cant.
Cheers

Sorry LP
Never been a big one for titles!
Only use my formal ones when I want to get good seats in a Perth restaurant (down here it's better if you've played for the local SuperRules (>35) Footy Team (Dunsborough Ducks) or Rugby Team (Dunsb Dungbeatles or Cowpats (>35s)- alumni to all 3). Sorry that was an oxymorn to someone from Melbourne (Good Restaurants and Perth dont usually go in the same sentence!!).
Cheers
