We're in Spring

Cornfield

Blues Newbie
We’re in Spring

It stopped snowing again

The grass is growing again

And it needs mowing again

I’m seeing green

Get out the old John Deere

I really like it here

When it’s becoming clear

That we’re in Spring

Do do do

Up come the daffodils

I’m getting tulip thrills

And hear the sparrows trill

A pair of doves coo

Time to get bicyclin’

See everybody pedallin’

Nature is revelin’

Everything is renewed

Do do do

It stopped snowing again

The grass is growing again

And it needs mowing again

I’m seeing green

Get out the old John Deere

I really like it here

When it’s becoming clear

That we’re in Spring

Blues Newbie
The shower is where I come up with most of my song ideas. They kind of pop out of nowhere.
This morning, I got inspired to write another verse
"I think it’s kind of odd
That some folks think of God
When color comes back to the sod
And dandelions bloom"

I think it might actually be too controversial for what has been, so far, an easy going song. I also haven't thought of a good answering verse yet.

My new verses:

I think it’s [D] kind of odd
That some folks [Em] think of God
When color comes [A] back to the sod
That’s their [D] beliefs [A7]

I don’ t get [D] on my knees
But still I’m [G] very pleased
When I [A] see the trees
Are getting new [D] leaves

I’ve continued to write this song to encompass more thoughts

It stopped snowing again
The grass is growing again
And it needs mowing again
I’m seeing green

Get out the old John Deere
I really like it here
When it’s becoming clear
That we’re in Spring

I think it’s kind of odd
That some folks think of God
When the color comes back to the sod
But that’s their belief

i don’t get on my knees
But still I’m very pleased
When the trees
are getting new leaves.

(Bridge/chorus)
Sometimes it rains, sometimes it doesn’t
when it rains sometimes I wish it wasn’t
Sometimes a tornado comes roaring through
The damage it leaves behind reminds me of you

Up come the daffodils
I’m getting tulip thrills
And hear the sparrows trill
A pair of doves coo

Time to get bicyclin’
See everybody pedallin’
Nature is revelin’
Everything is renewed

(Bridge/chorus)

It stopped snowing again
The grass is growing again
And it needs mowing again
I’m seeing green

Get out the old John Deere
I really like it here
When it’s becoming clear
That we’re in Spring
