Up - Down - Down ?

Hey I just started BGU and I am going to ask a stupid question,forgive me,but is the strum pattern incorrectly written for the lesson 1 examples? Griff is strumming Down - Up - Up.
If any of you know of any other oddities in the course material,please advise.

Thanks for the feedback,from the video itself the strumming pattern is clear and yes keeping the strumming motion continuous as you count out the beats is really important.I was just wondering if I had misread the symbols that are written over the notation.
