60 seconds isn't a lot of time, but I suppose this might come in handy once a blue moon. I'm probably more apt to use it for midi if I accidentally play something cool while practicing a keyboard part.
That's actually why retrospective recording was put in place on Studio One. It is a MIDI function and it isn't subject to the 60 second limitation. If you enable it and have a MIDI channel established in Studio One, it is essentially always on. I upgraded from 2.6 to version 4 in May. I've been sitting on v5 until recently. There are so many features I haven't tried and may not be aware of. But I'll activate this tonight as I'm learning a tricky piano part and it could come in handy. The audio function is actually just a case of making one feature work as something else, which is why this thread is titled Restrospective Audio Record... sorta!
