Solos 1-4

Ok - maybe someone out there can help me with this. In playing along with Griff's tracks on solo one in G, B flat and F, one thing I notice is that his guitar seems to have so much more sustain that I can get. I'm playing a PRS with EMGs. On the held notes, his sustain carries through with much more volume. My held notes tend to fade out much more quickly. I tried adding a Boss OS2 overdrive with the drive turned down some and that helped a bit but the notes still faded out much faster than Griff's. Any thoughts would be appreciated. I love this material and I'm having a blast working through it. Peace

You might try compression to increase your sustain.  Something like this:
