In example 4 there are two notes in the marked up version that are different than what I came up with.
In bar 2, the 3rd A (5th note in the bar) you show as being tied (3+4), but I marked it without the parens. Same with the last note in the example (3+4+).
Is that one of the "there's no convention as long as you know what you mean" things or am I missing something?
