Well since everyone has me freaked about the speed of the solos I'm taking my time with learning major minor and mixing them.  I can play major and minor separately and am working on mixing with box 1 and 5 in the open position and boxes 1 and 2.  Pretty good with the 1 and 2 but the open strings on that first position have slowed me down a bit. 

I like doing this work because it makes me think about where the next notes are and I love hearing the mix of major and minor notes while going through the exercise.

The open strings in these positions threw me too for a while!  I find I still have to think about which box I am playing as I switch back and forth.  I often have to pause for a second or two to get my bearings before continuing so I find it difficult to play these exercises with the one chord vamp track.  I think these are really good exercises and well worth working through.
