During the Nov 29 webinair I had asked about using Band in the Box and turning a "song" into a MP3 or equivalent file and the short answer is yes it is possible. I was able to create a .WAV pretty easy. It didn't sound all that great but there's probably a way to work on that too.

I was introduced to Band in a Box by my private instructor and I've found it to be very useful. For what I've used it for so far it's not too much different than using backing or jam tracks other than Band in Box is great as far as easily changing keys and tempo. I like to learn solos from your courses and then put the chord progression in Band in Box and practice them there. Just another way to "own" the solo as you like to say. I'm sure there are other tools out there that are similar that I'm not aware of.
