My usual song writing scenario is, I get some inspiration for a story, chord progression or riff, then I just run with it.
Most of my song ideas are conceived written, recorded in a few hours, and quite often I'm writing the lyrics on the fly as I record....yea yea ,,,I know , sometimes it shows in the final product.
Lately, I seem to be losing my focus.
I'm spending too much time here, too much time with gear and recording tech.
I've got at least 5 songs in my head that I haven't taken anywhere and I've lost at least 10 fleeting ideas that where fantastic when they came to me ... ha ha.
