pick holding

I am having trouble with my pick moving about when I strum .Has any got any suggestions .If I hold it really tight  I find my strumming is awkward and loses and feeling

Try some of the textured picks that are available, like the wonderfully named Snarling Dogs Brain Guitar Picks

That's just an example there are many different makes/shapes/sizes if you look online or go to your music store of choice.. maybe try a few different kinds to see what suits you best

The Jazz III's with Max grip surface work great for me.  I used to have the same problem but these have pretty much solved it.
