Open Mic success

DaveFromVA

In the basement.
I’m fairly new here, so y’all don’t know that last summer I tried an open mic for the first time, and had a miserable experience. In a bar, TVs on, lots of chatter, lousy equipment, botched a couple of my songs; all in all, just not a fun experience.

Dipped my toes back in tonight at a small coffee house open mic, and I have to say, it was 180 degrees better. Quality equipment, great venue, awesome performers, and I was able to recover nicely from forgetting the lines to a verse in one of my songs.

Liked it so much, I signed up already for next week.

Setlist:
I Can’t Stand It, by Eric Clapton
Romeo’s Tune, by Steve Forbert
Land Of Hopes And Dreams, by Bruce Springsteen
