? on Pentatonic Course Warmups

Dear Griff,

I've started working on the Pentatonic Mastery course along with BGU and 5 Easy Blues Solos. At this point, it takes me quite a while to go through the entire warmup routine and leaves me very little practice time. Do you recommend focusing on doing the complete warmup until I can get it down to the ten minute time frame you mention in the printed materials? Or would it be better to work on one section of the warmup at a time so as not to be unable to practice any of the other material?

Thanks!

Ben

Definitely watch your time. If you only get through one part and then it's time to move on, do that.

The warmup is just that, so keep it time constrained as needed.

Also, if you do it early in the day, and practice later, you don't necessarily need to do it again. Perhaps a different one of the warmup drills. Maybe alternate from day to day so that you can get some benefit of all the different ones. Mostly they are designed to improve technique in a "game" type of fashion. If you do them as directed, you can't help but improve technique.
