When my son was in band we'd get there just before half time and "Go for hot chocolate" after .
In my jr high and high school years, I worked at one of the coke booths at A&M games. Always managed to be on the south end of the stadium, on the top tier, student side. It was a blast. From the time we rolled in and opened the gate to the time we packed it up and left, there were only 2 times during a game day where there was absolutely no line. First would be like an hour and a half before the game for the first few minutes that the corps started marching in, and the second time was during half-time for the 5 minutes that the Aggie band was on the field. It was always kind of funny. The line would be deeper than you could count until you heard that "Ladies and gentlemen, now forming at the north end of Kyle Field..." announcement. The line would immediately vanish. Like ghost town gone. As soon as the band was finished playing, we were immediately back to couldn't keep up.
Not changing the subject too much, but imho, there ain't nothing like a college football game, and there ain't no college football game like an A&M home game when Kyle Field is really rockin'.
