Big thanks to the moderators for the official BGU Forum Member User Guide. If you're new, or haven't been that active, it's a must read to get the most out of the forum.
Everything from this post has been moved to our new FAQ:

Forum Road Map
Welcome to the forum. I hope you find it valuable as a learning aid. We have members of all ages and at all skill levels. The idea is to be helpful, and the members do their best to check their egos at the door. It's a place meant to be supportive of each other and also supportive of Griff's learning process and course material.
At first glance the Forum may be a bit overwhelming, with all the areas topics and posts.
The Forum is loosely organized around Griff’s course material plus several specific areas of general information.

Maybe this Forum Roadmap will help.
The forum is organized around Categories with sub sections within each.

Blues Guitar Unleashed
Acoustic Blues Guitar Unleashed
Beginning Blues Guitar Unleashed
Classic rock Guitar Unleashed
Strumming And Rhythm Mastery

Recording Info And Member Recordings

Each of the categories is subdivided into areas of specific interests. Hovering over the name of any of these subsections will provide a brief description of what to expect inside.

In the General Category, the most visited sections are General Music & Guitar Learning, Gear Talk, and of course, The Lounge. Again, those section names should be self-explanatory.
As a new user it’s a good idea to introduce yourself, and since you are viewing this FAQ, you have already found that section.

Once you leave the General Category, you are now in the Course area.

The keystone courses have larger sections, such as Blues Guitar Unleashed, Acoustic Blues Guitar Unleashed, and Beginning Blues Guitar,.
The Keystone course areas have a section at the top for course specific questions followed by sections for each lesson within the course. These are uses for lesson specific questions and posting recordings of your lessons for critique (Strongly recommended).

All the smaller courses are bundled in aggregated sections under Smaller Courses area.
Within the Smaller Courses area you will also find the Everything Else area where there are even shorter, single topic course information.

Below the Smaller Courses area, you will find an are we lovingly nicknamed “The Basement”, officially called Recording Info And Member Recordings.

The "basement" is dedicated to recording. In it, you'll find the Other Member Recordings section, which is a place to post audio (or video) recordings of material that isn't directly related to the courses. Also, in the OMR section, we have an informal challenge each month to record yourself performing a song (or more than one) according to a theme that changes each month. It isn't an offical BGU thing. It is entirely member created and curated. If you aren't participating in the monthly challenge, the section is also used to post any songs you may have recorded. Check it out to get a feel for what goes on there.

Also, is the Recording Tips and Tricks section. It is an information clearinghouse for all methods of recording, with a lot of Q&A threads. This can be for any kind of recording, from recording with your cell phone to having a home studio (as quite a few members do).

The Virtual Jam Room takes the idea of jamming to a method that is friendly to the non-real-time nature of forums. Someone posts a backing track, announcing the type of track it is. They record a "solo" over a portion of the track and present it to the rest of the forum members. Another member downloads the track with the first member's contribution and adds to the track after the first solo. He then uploads it. The next contributor downloads, adds and uploads. This goes on until the track is full.

BGUTube is an extension of the Other Member Recordings section, but with videos. This can be your own performance, a group performance or your contribution at a blues jam.

I would suggest you start with the subjects of interest to you

You might also pop in to the Introduce Yourself thread and well, introduce yourself.
