I've given up. Every recording gets a little worse. I'm losing my patients, so I'm moving on. I'll try to improve it later, when I'm not fed up with it.
I find leaving something & going back to it often gives a really noticable improvement as well Russ. For the record I don't think you are as far away from nailing it as maybe you think you are
Ray, that's why it irritates me so much. I know I'm "right there" with getting it perfect. I avoided Deep Sea Blues and went onto Fast Walking Blues, so I know all about skipping and going back . I'm gonna put some effort into Hideaway Blues before I go back to Blues in A. That's how I improved dramatically on DSB.

I don't think you should be frustrated at all. Sounds good to me. Only practice, practice, practice will make these any better. But then I am not planning to make a living out of playing a guitar ... so I just play what and while I enjoy it. Then recycle stuff later
I was going to put this in Gear Section because you can hear the awful buzz I need to adjust, but here is the latest Blues in A. I did miss a few. I'm telling myself I won't when I adjust the distraction out of it. :
Hi Russ, I'm not really picking up the buzzing too much from the recording... could be my PC &/or my ears
Until someone with more knowledge than me comes along I did wonder though if you are getting the strings ringing on... did you try getting a bit [or a bit more] mute on the strings with your right palm as you play?
It's something I find very difficult still Russ, I have got a bit of a feel for muting the low E & A by holding my palm on the strings right near the bridge but if I'm honest it only works for pieces where I can just leave my picking hand in one place. I still have no luck at all with moving my palm across the strings to mute only the ones I'm not playing. Just hoping it's one of those things that'll click with time.
I think you'll get it. One of these days you'll play something and won't even realize you did it "right" until you're done. I've done that before. Its a real sense of .
