Playing rhythm is not so easy either. Here is my take on lesson 3. http://www.4shared.com/file/117911773/bb4744a6/lesson_3.html

Wally - What about the whole note rests? Those little rectangles hanging down in bars 2, 4, 6, and 8?

Dave, thanks. It needs a do over. Rhythm, beat, and swing are everything to this. I need to give it that breathing space. I hope everyone who reads these posts sees that this is a way to get confirmation from others farther along that we are getting it, and not just practicing and reinforcing a mistake. Like my golf swing, for example.

I tried it again, this time with the rests.

I didn't remember the rests, since it's been a few months since doing lesson 3, so I am glad Dave's keeping an eye on you.
Going well wally.

Great job Wally!  I definitely liked your retake.  The rests really add to the piece.

Here is my take on it-

I really enjoyed this one.  I think out of the 3 lessons that I've done thus far, this has got to be my best.  Using my trusty Strat on the middle pickup (SD Duckbucker) into a Line 6 UX2 on the Everyday Blues tone with drive at just under 3, tone 9 and volume at 12.  Recording with Audacity.

Let me know what you all think!

Ok 6string and Wally let's go hit the juke joint and jam! Very Nice.

6string - the Line 6 UX2 is really working for you! Thanks for posting!
