I don't think you have to create an account to play them, but if you do, it's free, so why not (although 4Shared is definitely becoming one of my least favorite cloud options).
Sprint has provided me with 50gig for free on Dropbox with my purchase of a Samsung Galaxy SIII.

I have soooo many accounts... I just hate to create a new one!  minor i know!      Yes, it wants me to have an account before I can play them.. too bad...

I find soundcloud simple to use...   not that I post much but it was easy for this simple mind...

Yeah, it's just so darned hard to turn down all the free space that 4Shared gives you (15 gig as compared to many others 2-5 gig). No one else can match it.
