Hammer-Ons/ Pull-Offs

I started practicing Hammer-Ons and Pull-Offs with my acoustic work out while finger picking different finger patterns. It started because I was having a hard time getting Classical Gas to sound right :( , but now I think I’ll make it permanent :p . Its my opinion and experience that it takes more strength to make acoustic strings sound good because they’re thicker and don’t have the whole electric back up etc.. It takes more accuracy and speed to Hammer-on acoustic strings. I’ve been trying it with all the finger picking patterns that I’m half good at and I must say, its kinda startin’ to sound cool :D…  I’ve been doing the Hammer or Pull with my left index when I change chords. Once I get to thinking it sounds really good, I’m going to try to start the other fingers. I feel a spark of happiness and dare I say… ;D… satisfaction when I do this, so I won’t be changing any time soon. Here are some patterns that come to mind at the moment.

Picking Patterns:
4 3 4 3                     4231                      53423412               Boom Chuck       54 64 54 64
1 2 3 2

I have learned other ptterns, but haven't kept up with them since getting BGU/BBG.
Also, I'm not good at the Boom Chuck, yet.

when I sent tat link to my son he sent me a link to a couple of up and coming  Latin players.  Not only do they  have Griff's foot tapping down pat - they even do a fair Beavis & Butthead

I actually have tickets to see them on the 24th of this month.  My kids discovered them at a music festival and we have been hooked ever since.  Listen to their version of Stairway to Heaven.
