Foot pedal to start and stop backing tracks

I have a Mac and was wondering if anyone knows if there is a foot pedal available to start and stop backing tracks on the computer?

What are you using to play the tracks? If it's something that can speak MIDI (like GarageBand or pretty much any DAW) then you could use any MIDI type foot controller and set up the track to respond to the MIDI input. MacOS has some good stuff in the back end for setting up how it hears MIDI.

Mark I am playing the tracks from the June 2018 Challenge on the Mac and it appears it is through the web browser Safari. Other tracks I have saved are running through Quicktime.
