Russ you are really progressing through BBG, that was a really good job. I assume you're working up to the full speed version now because it's going to sound great  [smiley=beer.gif]

Ray, I did this lesson because Hideaway Blues triplets have got me stuck. I won't really progress until I get them to sound correct, then onto Little Mary.

Thanks man. Lot o things have been slowing me down, lately. I find mental attitude is everything and mine has been dwindling. I'm trying to work on that though. I've decided I just have to start the lesson over with a fresh attitude and slow it down.

Russ - it won't play for me and 4$hared wants to make me wait 180 seconds before I can download it...did you change the format of your files  I noticed it was a wav - which is much larger than mp3 - maybe that's why it's penalizing it.... :-/

Sorry Wayne, not like me to forget to transform the file like that. Here it is.

Thanks Russ! I'll give it a listen tonight

Listened:  Good work - steady rhythm and consistent chord changes.  Nothing there to hold you back

Nice clean changes and good tone Russ. I'd say you are ready to move on. Keep playing this one though till you can get the speed up just a bit.

It sounds like I may have stumbled on a strum or 3. Is that you're referring to about picking up speed? Otherwise, we "are" talking about the Learner's slow version, right?  :-? I fell on my right wrist today at work. It'll be a while before I can practice again.

Yeah, I'm just saying that the actual song (Brown Eyed Girl) is a little faster and you already have it down at the slower speed so it's time to bump the speed up a notch (Don't remember if you play to a metronome or a backing track, but either can be sped up a bit.
You are really coming along great . Glad to hear it.

Here's my re-make since I started the lesson over again.  :-?
Working on Full Speed version, but my fingers keep panicking. I'll get there pretty soon.

OK, I just listened to my last effort on this thread and I think that sounded better. I may have to go back to the Yamaha instead of using the Greg Bennett Fastback.

Hi Russ. It sounds a little heavy on the attack. Are you using a heavy pick? I'd try a really thin pick for that (maybe a Dunlop .60mm?). It's hard to tell how well you seem to be playing the chords with such an aggressive tone. I don't remember what you said you played this on. Maybe move the mic a little further away?
I really DO think you are getting close though.
