Bill N, Introduction

Blues Newbie
Hello forum Members,
my name is Bill N. from Texas I am 83 and I've been picking around with the guitar for years, but I still don't know how to play. Pick a little bit but that's about it. So I guess I would consider myself to be a long time beginner.
My biggest problem in advancing with the guitar. Is my memory? I have trouble memorizing songs and lessons But.I love music and whether I can memorize or not.I'm going to keep at it and try to learn as much as I can.I do remember some things but not a whole lot.So , please be patient with me on my musical journey.
I am new to forums. Don't really know how to navigate around here yet but will do my best

Welcome to the fun group of blues players, or wish we could......

Good to have a fellow Texan on board.

It makes me happpy to play The Blues!
Good afternoon, Bill and welcome.

I am 82 and have been playing guitar since I was 10. I play about a dozen other musical instruments, have taught and played professionally.

Let us know what you are interested in learning. What source of instruction are you using?

It is nice to have attainable goals - especially those that interest us.

What gear are you using? Acoustic or electric?

Welcome Bill! Congrats!!! I wanna be 83 some day, beats the alternative. I bet once you start playing more you will find that you remember more than you can remember. Relax and enjoy. :Beer:

Welcome Bill! I'm in North Texas, and also a newbie. I struggle with memorizing too - 100 repetitions help me along the way! What class are you starting with?

Hi Tom, Thanks for the response.
1. I'm interested in Blues, County, and 50's & 60's rock.
2. My primary sources of instruction are *Blues Guitar Unleashed 1 & 2;
*YouTube & *Activemelody.com
3. I have an acoustic & an Electric Guitar. I like both but I have a tendency to use the acoustic more than the electric..
4. I would like to know if there is a way yo reply to more than one person at a time. I don't want to overlook anyone with my responses. Those who respond to me deserve a response back from me. What do you think?

Got to go for now. Will talk more later.

@wnar925

Hi Bill, yes as you see above, I have 'Tagged You'. For multiple members to be included in your posts, all that is necessary is to place the @ symbol in front of the member's forum name. As you start typing an individual name, a small popup will appear and you select the correct name from the list, assuming the list has more than one name listed....

Hope this answers the question on how to include multiple people in your reply, response or start a new conversation.

Happy Thanksgiving, Bill!
