Barre Chords

We have all been there. Decades ago they were almost the single reason I considered giving up guitar.

I can remember fingering that classic e shape barre chord and slowly plucking each string trying desperately to get each to ring out clean.

The good news, it just takes time. One day you realize you don’t even think about them anymore, you just play them.

Fir me, I just started playing songs and deciding, every A will be a barre, then every F or G, once I embraced them it was perfect

I'm like Mark,
Over time, I just force myself to play barre chords.
It took years to get it good, now I have a tenancy to over use them when open chords or little chords would be a better choice.

Mark,
I gotta tell ya, "Eve of Destruction" was one of first songs that I could play and sing with.
That and "House of the rising sun"....thanks for the memories:)

I miss the days of those acoustic oriented songs
