You ever have one of those solos that you tell yourself that if you can ever learn it you will finally have arrived as a guitar player? When Griff did this one back in the days of the BGU Insiders club, I knew it was going to be one of those for me. So I sat down tonight and decided to start trying to learn it. Problem is, I'm back to my old tricks and playing it by ear because I am having all kinds of trouble trying to count it out. You can look at the vid and tell that it's from way back. So how about dust this one off, give it a fresh coat of paint, and walk us through it during one of the AAP sessions? It's a killer solo (and probably my #1 fave from all of the BGU curricula), and the counting exercise of it would really stretch our (or at least my) musical aptitude.
