Another bend question

    Griff explains this at the beginning of SWS. He demonstrates the full bend by playing the note 2 frets up then the bend to the same note. Then he does the 1 and 1/2 by picking thte note 3 frets up then bending to the same note.

    A whole step bend is ALWAYS a whole step, which is always two frets up.  A whole step is always two half steps.  One fret up is always a half step, and two frets up is always a whole step.  Always - did I mention that this is always the case?? :p

    B to C bend  or and E to F bend would be one fret or a half step bend.
