Okay I am not a song writer. But last night I woke up with this song in my head.
Verse:
It's been many years since that I have shed any tears.
But now my vision has become very clear.
We have stepped back between what is right or wrong and have taken a path that I thought was gone.
With prejudice, hate, now on our hands we need to refocus to save our lands.
Chorus:
False Idols have no place in this world.
They lead the sheep that won't take a stand.

It is time to make a stand.
Please brothers and sisters lend us your hands.
We can do better, and I know that is true.
No matter the odds, we can see this through.

On a scale of 1 - 10, I'll have to give it a 9.87 :thumbup:....I like it!

Can't wait to hear what you come up with for the melody and chord progression ;)

Songs that spontaneously formulate on waking, in the shower, or other odd times are wonderful. I always need to have my phone handy so I can do a quick voice memo before I forget the lines.
This lyric seems inspired and infused with your beliefs. It is universal in that you don’t express an opinion as to what you believe in, just that people who think alike should stand together.
If it was me, I would write about what I believe in rather than leave it generic. Then again, no one wants to pay to hear my songs.
