Nice article. I don't believe the clean sound part, though. He pretty much blasted his way through most of the sets I witnessed. Early on, he was playing a bunch of Hendrix covers and clean isn't a good description of his tone then. I mean he wasn't Gary Moore distorted, but very heavily overdrive almost all the time.
