There was an active shooter to cut them down.

Unfortunately, those songs are often some of my best.

Songs, well actually, music is all about expressing emotions and when your emotions bring a song from your heart or your soul it's usually a good song.

How bout writing a song about how an object consisting of various levers, springs and a tube has more rights than a human being?

Yeah so first thanks so much for taking a swing at tackling a song about that tragedy. I have no clue about how to write songs about serious topics.

Violence and hatred yes that part ties together. I dont know about independence day or its been taken away part though.

Too many military grade weapons with easy access and no shortage of whackos to me at least seems related to violence and hatred but i cant think of how to make a song about that.
