4 note solo

Every time I try it, my "fingers" or my "wires get crossed". I decided I'm not ready for the "easy 4 note solo", so I'm not going to try it again until I get back into BGU from BBG. I figure I'll have to be able to do that before I can do any other solos if its really THAT easy. I listened to the 1st solo on the CD and there's no way you can play that if you can't this the 4-note.

BTW. It IS nice to know I'm not the only 1 who thinks this easy solo is for those with experience.
AMEN Brah  :) ... I've been playin' with it since yesterday ... the "Easy 4 note Solo" has some ( for me ) very difficult parts

I used to have it down pretty well.  I have probably played it 1500 times.  Usually still get tripped up by the hammer on / pull off sequence in the middle.  I will run through it a few times the next few nights and see if I can scrounge up a recording.  Maybe a good time to post the new Squire Tele

Since the 4 note is what brung me it seems a shame I haven't learned it yet.
The main BGU course has been so ejoyable and challenging that it got put on the back burner.

That probably holds true with a bunch of folks ... Need a 4-note-solo revival !!!  ;)

I thought there were a few people who had posted it before. I haven't played it in a while, maybe I'll have a go at it if things start easing up around here.

The point of the 4-note solo, to me, was to illustrate what could be played with only 4 notes. Kinda just to show you that you don't have to know a million licks, all over the fretboard, to play something cool sounding.

If you go about trying to learn what Griff is playing note for note, keep in mind that it's the little techniques, not the solo, as a whole, that's important, IMHO.

It wouldn't hurt to learn that solo.... it might come up again in Griff's new course.  ::)

i agree with mike on this,

i learned the 4 note solo a while back, and still play it along with the other solos when i do review,

i don't know how many times i'm playing the 4 note and then my mind fads and i break into the 3rd solo, that's how close some

these melody's are, all these solos borrow and lend to each other, i think the 4 note should be part of this course

as there are some really cool little techniques to be had and studied,

i think there should also be a sticky for the 4 note as we get questions every few months about it  :)

I know there is a 4note solo jamtrack, but which jamtrack off the BGU course would you guys use for it? I wanna play around with it tonight and already have a BGU jamtrack CD made. Thanks!
