Train a Comin'

Maybe some of you can add to this thought ...
=========================
I saw that train a comin'
Comin' on down the line

Yeah, I saw it comin'
But I couldn't move in time

She ran me right over
I was splattered on the clover

Yeah, I saw it comin'
But I couldn't move in time

That girl she hurt me bad
Yeah, she hurt me bad

Oh yes, I saw it comin'
But I couldn't leave in time

She blew my steam
then told me it was over

Oh yes, I saw it comin'
But I couldn't leave in time

I play 'err' guitar.
I saw that train a comin', comin' on down the line
Yeah, I saw it comin', but I couldn't move in time
So she ran me over, right at the crossing sign.

She blew my steam, whoo-hoo!
Then she told me it was over, this time we were through
Well she ran me over, right at the crossing sign.

She ran me right on over, I was splattered on the clover
Yeah, I saw it comin', but I couldn't move in time
So that woman ran me over, right at the crossing sign.

That girl she hurt me bad, you know I ain't lyin'
Oh yes, I saw it comin', but I couldn't leave in time
So she ran me over, right at the crossing sign.

Very cool guys.  Thanks!

I play 'err' guitar.
You can probably do lots more with "ties and lies", "track and ain't never comin' back", etc. etc.

As I lay here, dyin' on the track, i watch her caboose,
it ain't never comin' back... whooo wooo. :)

the only issue I have is... if you were splatted all over the line, how could you write the song. just saying...  :-/

Marv

I play 'err' guitar.
Yeah, and he's "not dead yet." You wouldn't want him to die happy, would ya?  It's the blues.

you mean, he got splatted and lived? Man, I gotta learn that song from Jackass The Movie 3D - If you gonna be dumb, you gotta be tough! When you fall down you gotta pick yourself up!

Tough MF'er eh? splatted by a train and lives.... now that is a blues song.  ;)

I saw the train coming
Heading right my way
I heard my woman calling
But I let it head my way

I saw the train coming
It's gonna take the pain away
Sick of living and the strife
Heading for a better life

Well that's my two pennies worth  :D

what kind of sound is the "whoo hoo" because that would generally be like a happy sound if you were singing it...right? kinda like YIPPEE..

Marv

I play 'err' guitar.
You're right, "whoo hoo" would be happy sounding.

But this is "whooo wooo"  :)  Kinda like the minor variation of "whoo hoo."  Very sad.  Very.  :'(

Think mournful train whistle...
