I lost the best guitarist I ever knew today

I’ve been close to apologizing for bringing this horrible post to this uplifting forum. Many thanks to all who posted kind words. I would like to say that I’m not hurting like I was at my original post but it’s just not true. The day we brought him home, in the mail was a letter from USPTO certifying copyrights for 7 compositions he uploaded on 8/19/20. In his obituary, we requested memorials to be sent to the Piedmont Blues Preservation Society, a 35 year old all volunteer group (no salaries, overhead) supporting the blues regionally. Penn lived a minimalist life with no need of materialism, just music. Our whole family agreed the PBPS would be the kind of group to which he would want to be remembered. Long live the blues!

His music lives on.
Your memorial request will help others find what he did in his music.

You'll never get over it, you can't and shouldn't try.
You will however, learn to cope with the loss over time.

Peace
